| Smart Project MMC Gamuda
The south side of the tunnel for SMART PROJECT have been completed successfully with the breakthrough of the shaft at Taman Desa beside Desa Waterpark in April 2006. Trans Elite was again called by our client MMC - GAMUDA to provide suitable cranes to lift the Tunnel Boring Machine and its component parts out from the retrieval shaft.

After in depth and detailed studies had being made by our engineering department, we had proposed to use our 600 Tons Ringer Crane (Manitowoc 4600 S4 Ringer S3) as main crane and 230T Crawler Crane (Manitowoc 4100S2) as tailing crane to lift the TBM with the heaviest part (Cutter head) weighing 300MT at working radius of 30.4 meter out from the retrieval shaft. Trans Elite job scopes included providing competent lifting supervisor to supervise all the lifting works and also giving technical advice as and when necessary to perform all the lifting works. The job went smoothly and completed successfully due to the teamwork and good understanding between all personnel involved in this project.
